COA (Certificate of Analysis) is the core quality document for peptide products, containing key indicators such as purity, molecular weight, and sequence confirmation.
Key Indicators Interpretation
- Purity: Determined by HPLC, typically required ≥99%
- Molecular Weight: Confirmed by mass spectrometry, deviation from theoretical value should be <0.1%
- Sequence Confirmation: Verified by amino acid analysis or mass spectrometry
- Water Content: Determined by Karl Fischer method
- Bacterial Endotoxin: Ensure compliance with pharmacopeia standards
How to Verify COA Authenticity
A legitimate COA report should include: batch number, production date, test methods, test results, tester's signature, and quality control department seal. Authenticity can be verified by contacting the manufacturer.
